SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Richard Van Buren Yentzer, 51, died Wednesday at his home in Sheridan.

He was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Sheridan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman P. Yentzer. He was reared in Sheridan and attended the University of Wyoming until World War II, when he became a carrier-based pilot.

He started the General Air Services in Sheridan following the war. In 1948 he took over the Buffalo Big Horn Airways and consolidated with the air service in Sheridan in 1955. He retired three years ago when he sold Big Horn Airways.

He was member of the VFW, the American Legion, and the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include a nephew and a niece.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Champions Funeral Home, with the Elks Lodge officiating. Burial will be in the Elks section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
