Floyd Carroll WORKMAN 1920 - 1994 SHS 1939

SHERIDAN - Services for Floyd Carroll Workman, 74, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Champion Funeral Home by Rev. Doug Goodwin. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion and National Guard at the Elks Cemetery.

Mr. Workman died June 3, 1994, at his home in Sheridan of natural causes.

He was born May 20, 1920, to Paul and Ruth (Chapman) Workman at Sheridan.

On Jan. 20, 1947, he married Carrie Crooks at Billings.

During World War II, Mr. Workman served with the 101st Airborne Division, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and Normandy. He. returned to Sheridan and went to work for the Padlock Ranch. While working as a cowboy, he was featured in the publications of National Geographic, Western Horseman and Persimmon Hill. He retired in 1985.

Mr. Workman was a member of Elks Lodge No. 520 and Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 1560 in Sheridan.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sandi Ziler of Sheridan and Billie Kwallek of Dayton; two sons, Russell Workman of Elko, Nev., and David Workman of Sheridan; a brother, Glenn Workman of Sheridan; three sisters, Doris Legocki, Pauline Holmes and Lila Schrater, all of Sheridan; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Senior Citizens Center or to the Sheridan High School Rodeo Club would be appreciated and may be made in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan 82801.
