OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - October 3, 2001

CASPER - At her request, no services are planned for Mary Jane Heiman, who died Oct. 1, 2001, after a short illness.

She was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Sheridan, the daughter of Lester Raymond and Valentine (Roberts) Tyson.  She was raised in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan High School; and had continued to correspond with some of her childhood friends until her death.

In 1948, she married Robert Heiman.  They spent most of their married life in Casper, with a brief pause in Worland.

Primarily a homemaker, she enjoyed housework, knitting, sewing, baking bread and gardening.  She was known as a "doggone good mom."

For many years she worked seasonally for the Natrona County treasurer, licensing automobiles, until the system was changed.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Parsons, and her husband of Boise, Idaho; two grandchildren; a brother, Ray Tyson of Vine Grove, Ky.; and a sister, Patricia Moncini of Issaquah, Wash.

She was preceded in death by here husband in December 2000; a younger sister, Sue Amen; and her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to a charity of the donor's choice.
