DAYTON - Graveside services for former Wyoming resident Nellie E. James, 80, of Burbank, Calif., will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Dayton Cemetery by Scott Rauscher and Loren Coleman.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1230 p.m. Monday at Champion Ferries Funeral Home

She died Dec. 3, 2001, in Burbank Hospital.

She was born Nov. 17, 1921, in Sheridan County, the daughter of Robert and Edith (Carter) Strait, as was raised and educated in Sheridan County, where she graduated from high school.

She moved to California and lived in the Los Angeles area for 50 years and in Burbank for 20 years.  For 15 years, she was a sheet metal mechanic for United Airlines.

Survivors include a son, L. Paul James Jr. of Story; daughter, Clara S. Wyatt of Sun Valley, Calif.; a grandson and a niece.
