SHERIDAN - Services for Rudolph Peter Soltis, 78, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. James Schumacher officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Wyoming National Guard and the American Legion Post No. 7. Interment will follow in the Elks Cemetery.

Mr. Soltis died Sept. 9, 1997, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Sheridan.

He was born May 28, 1919, in Kooi.

He married Roberta L. Goodill in 1950 at Ranchester and she preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 1994.

He was a World War II veteran, a past member of the Ranchester Fire Department, a member of the Sheridan Elks Lodge No. 620 and Holy Name Catholic Church.

He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and working the ranch he and his wife owned.

Survivors include one son, Thomas K. Soltis of Ranchester; two sisters, Susie Mitchell of Sheridan and Helen McAdams of Las Vegas and two grandchildren of Ranchester.
