Thomas Harrell REAVIS III 1918 - 1988 SHS 1939

Thomas Harrell Reavis III, of 627 19th Ave., Longview, died Jan. 16, 1988, at home. He was 69.

Mr. Reavis was born June 29, 1918, at Sheridan, Wyo., and had lived in the local area for the past 40 years.

He was employed at Weyerhaeuser for 38 years, retiring in 1980.

He served with the Army during World War II and was a member of the Longview American Legion and the Kelso Elks Lodge.

His wife, Jean Reavis, survives him at home. Also surviving are two sons, Stephen B. Reavis of O'Fallon, Ill., and Thomas Harrell Reavis IV of Woodland; a sister, Ruth Horsley of Castle Rock; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Peters officiating. Interment will be at Longview Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home until 8 tonight and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
