SHERIDAN Wyo. - Services for John Thomas Powers, 56. will be at 11 a m Thursday in Champion Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Elk's Memorial Section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Powers died Monday in Billings Deaconess Hospital.

He was born March 17, 1920, on the family ranch near Pass Creek, Mont., a son of Roy and Erma Powers. He graduated from Sheridan County High School and attended the University of Montana at Missoula. He ranched on Pass Creek for several years and was later employed by the Fuller Ranch near Wvola, Mont.

On March 25. 1972, he married Margaret E. Clearwater in Sheridan. They lived in Sheridan after their marriage

Survivors include the widow; two daughters. Beth and Melissa Powers, both of Waco, Tex.; three sons. Donald Powers of Casper. Ike Powers of Waco and Steve Powers of Houston. Tex.; a stepdaughter, Kelly Clearwater of Sheridan; six stepsons. Richard and Danny Clearwater, both of Sheridan. Gary Clearwater of Trinidad. Colo. Michael Clearwater of Buffalo. Jim Clearwater of Swan Lake. Mont., and Tim Clearwater of Billings: six brothers. Tom Powers of Babb, Mont, Bruce Powers of Hot Springs. S D, Pat Powers of Elko. Nev. Paul Powers in Alaska, and Danny and Darwin Powers, both of Parkman; five sisters. Mary Lou Hagerman of 40 Wyoming Ave. Billings. Alice Fuller and Jane Yellowtail, both of Wyola, Carol Ripley of Tucson, Az., and Penny Knowmoe in California; a grandchild and five step-grand-children.
