Helen M. Sorvik, 80, Sheridan, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Viewing is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Friday at Sheridan Municipal cemetery, the Rev. Douglas Goodwin officiating.

Born May 1, 1920, in Sheridan to Charles and Mary (Lyle) McCoy, Mrs. Sorvik grew up and graduated from high school in Sheridan. She attended business college in Sheridan and worked several years as secretary for the city.

She married Jack Sorvik in Cheyenne. They lived in Sheridan before divorcing.

She owned and operated a gift and antique shop until retiring due to health.

A member of First Christian Church, she loved cats and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Survivors include a brother, Carl McCoy, Sheridan; a sister, Esther Stevison, Sheridan; three nieces; and a nephew.

A son, Kelly Sorvik, preceded her in death.
