Mike H. JUROSHEK 1919 - 2004 SHS 1939

Sheridan County native Mike H. Juroshek, 84, of McCleary, Wash, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, in Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Wash.

A memorial service will be today at Grace Community Church in Elma, Wash. A reception will follow the service.

Arrangements are with Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma.

Mr. Juroshek was born Nov. 25, 1919, in Acme to Joe and Anna Juroshek. He lived in Acme until he joined the U.S. Air Force just after Pearl Harbor. He served for nearly four years, including three years in the South Pacific. He was a crew chief on the B-52 bomber.

Mr. Juroshek returned to Wyoming after the service. He married Evelyn L. Wood in 1946. They traveled in construction work for 45 years, finally settling in Billings. They moved to Washington in spring 1999 to be near their daughter and her family.

Mr. Juroshek enjoyed art, working in oil, watercolor and charcoal.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Judi Harper of Elma; and two grandchildren.
