Eileen F. Burr, 88, of Sheridan, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010 in ICU at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan.

She was born on March 19, 1922 on the Flag L Ranch Crazy Women Creek, Arvada, Wyoming to Grace (Walker) and Frank Eads. Eileen’s first schooling along with her siblings was held in the farm bunkhouse. The family provided room and board for the teacher. They moved to Buffalo where she attended seventh and eighth grade and then to Sheridan, finishing High School in 1939. She then went on to graduate from Sheridan Beauty College and owned her own beauty salon in Gillette, WY.

Eileen married Chuck Burr on June 20, 1942.

She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, gardening, traveling and camping.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, brother Warren Eads and grand daughter Stephanie Burr.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, children Jim (Jolene), Janis (Ed) Legerski, Barb (Bob) Elmore of Sheridan and Ron (Tammy) of Buffalo, seven grand children and 3 great grand kids, along with her siblings Jim Eads of Sheridan and Iris (Frank) Meaker of Montrose, CO.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her life for family and friends will be at a later date. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
