William Hall Buchanan of 2963 Texas Ave., died Saturday, June 29, at his home of a gunshot wound believed to have been inflicted by his wife in a mercy killing. Mr. Buchanan, who had suffered from multiple sclerosis, was 65.

Mr. Buchanan was born July 21, 1919, at Sheridan, Wyo. He graduated from Sheridan High School.

He married Eleanor A. Buchanan on Aug. 3, 1946, at Billings, Mont.

He enjoyed music and formerly played with dance bands in Sheridan. He liked hunting and fishing.

He served with the Army during World War II.

He is survived by a brother, Thomas E. Buchanan, of Sheridan.

Burial will be Friday in Alliance, Neb.
