SHERIDAN, Wyo. - George I. Barnhart first worked at the Wigwam Bakery at the flour mill in Sheridan and was currently working at the Safeway Bakery.

He was a founding layman of the Wesleyan-Church in Sheridan and, at the time of his death, was the Sunday school superintendent.

Mr. Barnhart, 61, died Sunday at the Sheridan County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Clearmont, the son of Rollin ' and Cynthia Barnhart. He graduated from Sheridan High School.

He married Rosemary Bell Feb. 19, 1947. She died Nov. 2, 1972. He married Arlene Caudill Dec. 29, 1973, in Sheridan.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Patrick of Denver, Colo. ; one daughter, Rebecca Barnhart of Menlo Park, Calif.; two brothers, Rollin of Cody and Lavern of Washington state; two sisters, Mary Phoenix and Ruth Badgett, both of Sheridan and one grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Henne Funeral Home with burial in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
