Mary Grinnell, 89, of Sheridan, WY died Wednesday, November 04, 2009, in Sheridan Manor.

Mary was born June 21, 1920, in Sheridan to Glen & Sadie (Aber) Tunks.

Mary grew up and graduated from high school in Sheridan. She graduated from the University of Nebraska.

Mary married Harold Grinnell on September 12, 1944.

She worked as secretary for St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and First Presbyterian Church.

Mary was a member of Delta, Delta, Delta Sorority, Philanthropic Educational Organization, Daughters of the Nile, PEO, Book Review Club and First Presbyterian Church.

She enjoyed sewing and playing the piano.

Mary is survived by her husband Harold; son Stuart of Cheyenne, WY; daughters Susan Hicks of Wheatland, WY and Sara Fuller of Sheridan; eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00am on Saturday (Nov. 7th) from First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Doug Melius officiating. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, Masonic 8 section. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Memorials may benefit First Presbyterian Church.
