Rawl Oliver ROBINSON Sr. 1918 - 1971 SHS 1938

BELLE FOURCHE - Services for Rawl O. Robinson Sr. will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. James Lutheran Church with the Rev. Reuben Schnaidt officiating. Burial will be in the Black Hills National Cemetery under direction of Frost & Son Funeral Home, with military rites by AMVETS Post 1, Belle Fourche.

Robinson died Friday morning at the Fort Meade VA Hospital.

He was born Aug. 14, 1918. at Kemmerer, Wyo. He lived in the Jackson Hole country until 1930, when he moved with his parents to Sheridan where he graduated from high school in 1938. He attended the universities of Montana and Wyoming at Bozeman and Laramie.

He married Hilda Wagner, July 13, 1941, at Hardin.

He served with the US Army during World War II in Europe until 1945. In 1946- the couple moved to a ranch near Colony, Wyo., where the engaged in livestock operations until retiring and moving to Belle Fourche. in 1969.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church, AMVETS and Optimists, and was active in 4-H leadership in Crook County.

Surviving are his widow and son, Rawl Jr., Belle Fourche; his daughter. Mrs. Gary C. Stormo, Kodiak, Alaska; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver S. Robinson, Belle Fourche; brother, Dean R., Burwell, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. George Kuzara, Ratan, NM and Mrs. Keith Peterson, Des Moines, Iowa; also, four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
