Virginia Herrick, 91, of University Place, WA, formerly of Billings, MT and Sheridan, WY, passed away on January 31, 2012 at Franciscan Hospice House.

She was born September 6, 1920 to Pete and Julia Preston. She graduated from Sheridan High School.

Virginia married Rusty Lewis, they later divorced, and she then married Al Herrick. She and Al owned the Sportsman Bar in Sheridan and later moved to Billings, MT

Her parents, both husbands, two brothers, Donald Preston and Bill Preston, preceded Virginia in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Loralee (Lewis) Williamson of Billings, MT; Vicky (Herrick) Winter of University Place, WA; three grandchildren, Mark (Vicki) Williamson and Austin Podrabsky; one brother, Pete Preston, Jr. of Portsmouth, VR; and one sister, Lois (Kennedy) Trujillo of Sheridan. Six nieces and one nephew also survive her.

Virginia loved life and will be sadly missed.

She loved to do crossword puzzles, going to casinos and playing the slots, watching TV, especially game shows, her soap operas and any John Wayne westerns. She was an avid fan of the Seattle Mariner's baseball team.

She fought a courageous battle with cancer for six months.

Cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Elks section of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
