No local services are planned for Erma L. Kay, 77, Lawrence. Services will be scheduled at a later date in Buffalo, Wyo.

Mrs. Kay died Monday, July 27, 1998, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Arvada, Wyo., the daughter of Fred and Beatrice Bixby Miley. She later lived many years in Lawrence before moving back to Wyoming. She returned to Lawrence in September 1997, moving from Buffalo, Wyo. She was a retired bookkeeper for Rusty's IGA, Lawrence.

She attended the Unity Church.

She married Gordon S. Kay in 1939 in Sheridan, Wyo. They were divorced in 1971. She married Bertis L. Kay on Dec. 23, 1976, in Lawrence. He died in July 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Baugher, Lawrence; a son, Tom, Lawrence; two sisters, Emily LaCharity, Post Falls, Idaho, and Beatrice Lissow, Seal Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Salvation Army.
