Leo Francis KELLEY 1920 - 1985 SHS 1938

November 2, 1920 - December 28, 1985.

CODY, Wyo.- Leo F. Kelley served in the Army during World War II, when he received a field commission from General Patton in Europe, and in the Korean War. Later he owned Kelley's Liquor Store, then operated the Blackwater Lodge on the North Fork River for nine years.

He loved horses, gardening and golf.

Mr. Kelley, 65, died in Hemet, Calif., Dec. 28 from a heart condition.

Born in Ranchester, a son of Leo F. and Lottie Irwin Kelley, he attended schools in Ranchester and Sheridan.

On May 10, 1947, he married Mary Rowland in Sheridan. She died in 1966. On Jan. 7, 1967, he married Connie Ashcraft in Cody.

Active in Chamber of Commerce, he was a member of Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Patrick of Denver, Colo., and Timothy of Gillette; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Thomas of Cody; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Betty) Husman of Sheridan; and two grandchildren.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday in Ballard Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
