Louis W. Horvath, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Rosary services are 7 p.m. today at Kane Funeral Home with Deacon Joe Kristufek officiating. Mass of The Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Christian Church with Monsignor Eugene Sullivan officiating.

Mr. Horvath was born March 14, 1919, at Deitz 7 to Louis J. and Julia Patruska Horvath.

Mr. Horvath worked at the Sheridan VA in the medical unit for more than 37 years.

He served in the Army Medical Corp. from April 1942 to Jan. 6, 1946.

He was a member of the Eagles, Elks, American Legion and a life member of VFW. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheridan.

He loved hunting, fishing and sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
