Memorial services are today for Matt Joseph Hansen of Rancho Palos Verdes, a South Bay resident for 30 years.

Born Oct 6 1917 in Wyoming, he died May 15 1989 at a Torrance hospital.

Mr. Hansen worked for 30 years as an electrical engineer at Rockwell International, served as a senior committee member of the Rockwell Employees Donate Once Club, was a founding member of the Mount Olive Lutheran Church of Rancho Palos Verdes and was a member of the Sons of Norway Ulabrand Lodge in San Pedro.

He is survived by his wife Winona; four daughters, Barbara, Victoria, Mona and Carolyn; two brothers, Lyle and Jay; a sister Ruth and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 2 pm at Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
