CEDAR CITY - Hearst Hammond, 67, of Cedar City died Jan. 15, 1988, at the Valley View Medical Center.

He was born March 14, 1919 in Sheridan, Wyo. to Norman and Eunice Hedgepest Hammond.

He married Katherine Parker on June 16, 1964 in Salt Lake City.

He was superintendent of maintenance for the city of Fullerton, Calif.

He was in the Air Force and attended the Community Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, one son and one daughter: Allan Deems of Auroa, Colo, and Jaynie Spell of Rapid City, South Dakota; five grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Virginia Custis of Big Horn, Wyo. and Norman Hammond of Vista, Calif.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the Community Presbyterian Church in Cedar City.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a contribution to the Community Presbyterian Church.

Services will be under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
