Charlotte M. Smith, 89, of Sheridan died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at Westview Health Care Center.

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with Pastor John Elkins officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Born July 15, 1920, in Sheridan to Roy and Goldie (Fetter) Graves, she attended Big Horn and Sheridan schools, graduating from Sheridan High School.

She married Steve R. Smith on Jan. 11, 1947, in Billings.

A homemaker, she enjoyed the country life in the couple's home on Meade Creek, especially sunrises, sunsets, and her dog, King.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Big Horn Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, and an infant sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl M. Smith of Fort Collins, Colo., and Nancy Elkins of Sheridan; one brother, Bob Graves of Sheridan; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
