Eileen Jane "Pat" FITZPATRICK Perlson 1920 - 2009 SHS 1938

March 25, 1920 - November 4, 2009.

Eileen "Pat" Perlson passed away at the Rogue Valley Manor Health Center, Nov. 4, 2009. She was 89 years old. A memorial will be held at the RV Manor Health Center on Friday, November 13th at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Hildebrand officiating.

She is survived by her son, Robert; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pat was born in 1920, on the family homestead in Colony, Wyo. After graduation from high school in Sheridan, Wyo., she moved to N.J. to complete her training as a registered nurse. It was there that she met her future husband, Joe, during his residency in psychiatry and neurology. They moved to San Bernardino, Calif., in the 1940s, where Pat assisted in her husband's medical practice for nearly 30 years.

Joe preceded her in death in 1972. After his passing, Pat moved to the San Diego area where she started a second career in yacht sales. There, she met many close and life-long friends. She moved to the RV Manor about 12 years ago.

Pat was the ultimate positive thinker, and a sparkplug to any gathering. Her mischievous smile, bright blue eyes, and teasing humor enriched those around her . She loved life and enjoyed the people in it. She leaves behind a legacy of smiles.

She would want memorial gifts to be given to the Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation in lieu of flowers.

The family is very grateful to the fabulous staff of the RV Manor Health Center and her physician Al Newton who treated her with the utmost of dignity and caring love.
