SHERIDAN -- A funeral Mass for Jeanne M. Clark, 88, will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Ron Stolcis officiating.

Interment of cremains will follow in the Sheridan Elks Cemetery, followed by a celebration of her life from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Kalif Shrine Hall.

A Christian wake service will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Kane Funeral Home.

She died on June 2, 2008, at Westview.

She was born March 28, 1920, to George and Mable Demple.

She married James B. Clark on August 26, 1945, in St. Augustine Cathedral in Tucson, Ariz. They had known each other since age five where they attended Holy Name School and later, Sheridan High School.

She also attended St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth, Kan. Her grandfather, Peter Demple, was a real estate investor and partner in the Sheridan Brewery. He arrived in Sheridan in 1884.

She worked for MDU for a brief period and then as a full-time housewife. They moved to Casper and then Denver where her husband re-enlisted with the Air Force. The family spent three years in Germany.

She and her husband retired in Sheridan after his 30 years in the Air Force.

She is survived by her husband; three children, Jane Huckins and her husband; Jon and his wife of Sheridan, and JoAnne Heron and her partner of Port Townsend, Wash.; brother, Robert E. Demple and his wife of Sheridan; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brother George Jr., who died in World War II.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made in her name to the Holy Name School Building Fund, 9 S. Connor, Sheridan, WY 82801.
