PARKMAN -- Private family service for Parkman rancher Mary Croff Sheeley, 87, will be held later at the ranch.

She died at her home May 29, 2007.

She was born Feb. 21, 1920, in Sheridan, to John P. and Lois W. Croff.

She graduated from Sheridan High School and attended Pomona College in Claremont, Calif.

She married Glenn H. Sheeley Jr., on July 23, 1941.

They then moved to their home on the Sheeley Ranch, where they lived for nearly 66 years of marriage.

She was a member of PEO Chapter B, Parkman Promoters and Sheridan County Cattlewomen. She also served on the board of the Ranchester State Bank.

Survivors include her husband, son, Bruce D. Sheeley and his wife, Laurie; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John P. Croff; sister, Nancy Burris; son, Glenn Harrison Sheeley III and daughter, Pamela Jane.

Memorials may benefit Hospice of the Big Horns, 1401 W. 5th St., Sheridan, 82801.

Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
