Charles Francis CONLEY 1920 - 1998 SHS 1938

SHERIDAN - Services for Charles Francis Conley, 77, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home with the Very Rev. Eugene Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in the Elks Cemetery.

Mr. Conley died Jan. 12, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Sheridan.

Mr. Conley was born May 31, 1920, in Sheridan, the son of Charles Eugene and Frances N. (Fowler) Conley.

On Nov. 8, 1944, he married Shirley Klosterman in St Louis.

He was a World War U pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps and received his training as a Stearman. He also served in the U.S. Navy.

He owned and operated his ranch near Otter, Mont, his entire life. He loved his horses, dogs and spending time with his family. He owned and operated the China Valley Ranch and Resort in British Columbia, Canada, for three years. He also traveled to Central America numerous. times searching for prospective real estate.

He was a member of the American Quarterhorse Association, the Sheridan Elks Lodge and Holy Name Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of Sheridan; his son, Daniel P. Conley and his wife of Sheridan; his daughter, Lexian Fowler of Otter, Mont; and three grandchildren.
