SHERIDAN -- Graveside services for Geraldine B. Given, 86, will be held Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at 11 a.m., at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. Don Derryberry officiating.

She died Oct. 30, 2006, in Centennial Health Care Center, Greeley, Colo.

She was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Lamona, Iowa, to Willard and Amy (Downey) Beck.

She attended elementary school in Acme and graduated from high school in Sheridan.

She received her teaching degree from the University of Wyoming.

She married Willard Given on Dec. 29, 1943. When her husband went to war, she lived in Sheridan and taught school in Clearmont.

After the war, they moved to St. Louis, Mo., and lived there for 40 years until moving to Cheyenne.

She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of Greeley; son, James Given of Lakewood, Colo.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
