OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - April 23, 2002

SHERIDAN-Memorial services for Sheridan resident Daisy D. Reimers, 82, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church by the Rev. Doug Goodwin.  Cremation has taken place.

She died April 21, 2002, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

She was born July 22, 1920, in Sheridan, the daughter of Perry and Bessie (Imbler) Barnes.  Following graduation from Sheridan High School, she worked for Staples Dude Ranch, Bar 13 Ranch, Hidden Valley Ranch, 30T Ranch and others.

After 20 years of service, she retired as area clerk for the Soil Conservation Service.

On November 7, 1975, she married Phillip B. Reimers in Sheridan.

She enjoyed spending time with her family; gardening, especially growing roses; furniture restoration; sewing; music and playing the piano and guitar; and hunting, fishing and camping.  She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband of Sheridan; two sons and their wives, Daniel J. Daniels and Bill D. Caskey, both of Sheridan; six stepchildren, Rod Reimers and his wife, Irene Sessions and her husband and Vonnie Reimers, all of Sheridan, Russell Reimers and his wife of Billings, Mont., Terry Reimers and his wife of Lake DeSmet and Mike Reimers and his wife of Springhill, Fla.; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two brothers and their wives, Perry E. "Junior" Barnes Jr. of Casper and Franklin J. "Jay" Barnes of Sheridan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ernest J. "Ernie" Barnes; and a grandson.
