; SHERIDAN - Amy Coffin, age 91, passed away Jan. 16, 2007, at Sheridan, Mont.

She was born March 25, 1915, at Sheridan, Wyo., to John and Barbara (Poluya) Schedlock, Sr. She was raised in Sheridan, Wyo., and graduated from Sheridan High School. She then helped at her family's ranch while her brothers served during World War II.

She married William L. Coffin on Aug. 6, 1945, in Sheridan, Wyo. They then lived in Billings; Rockford, Ill.; then returned to Sheridan, Wyo., to ranch. Amy raised her family and helped her husband with his church ministry. She moved to Dillon in 1993 with her daughter and later to Sheridan, Mont., in 2001.

Amy enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, crocheting. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and made the best bread and cinnamon rolls. She always saw the good in everything.

She was raised in the Lutheran Church and was currently a member of the First Church of God.

Amy was preceded in death by her husband; a son-in-law, Lamont Stine; and an adopted son, Emmett Other Medicine; five brothers, John, Jr., George, Earl, Edward and Roy; six sisters, Julia, Elizabeth, Wilma, Rose, Lorna and Anne.

Survivors include her children, Nancy and Mitchell Phillips of Belgrade, Barbara and Bob Stine of Ashland, and Henry and Kitty Coffin of Ashland; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to the charity of the donor's choice, the American Cancer Society or the March of Dimes.

Memorial services will be held Monday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m., from the K&L Mortuary Chapel at Three Forks, with Rev. Les Anderson officiating.
