SHERIDAN - Sheridan resident, Louise Frederika Amende, 73. died Feb. 22, 1994, at the Deaconess Medical Center in Billings. Mont., of natural causes.

Mrs. Amende was born Dec. 1 8, 1920. at Newcastle, the daughter of Anton and Myrtle (Shell) Hansen. On April 21, 1941, she married William L. Amende in Hardin, Mont.

Mrs. Amende taught Headstart for 10 years and then taught elementary school at Ashland, Mont. She was also a teachcr.at several rural schools in Montana and Wyoming. Following her retirement, she worked at the Senior Community Employment Service for five years and did volunteer work for VITA for three years.

Mrs. Amende enjoyed working with younger children, reading, doing crossword puzzles, gardening and working with income taxes.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and two sisters, Ethel Ault and Marie Tryon.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Christianson of Dayton, Sherry Adkins of Lubbock, Texas; four sons. Jack W. Amende and Jerry A. Amende, both of Sheridan, Dale Amende of Broad-us. Mont., and Daniel Amende of Livingston, Mont.; 16 grandchildren; artd 10 great-grandchildren.
