Nancy EATON Ferguson 1921 – 2009 SHS 1937

Nancy Eaton Ferguson, 88, of Wolf, passed away at her residence on July 21, 2009.

Nancy was born on February 28, 1921 in Sheridan to William and Patty (Alderson) Eaton. She attended Sheridan schools and was a graduate of Sheridan High School.

She married Tommy Ferguson at Eatons Ranch on September 5, 1942 and they raised four children.

She was the Sheridan Rodeo Queen in 1939.

Nancy was on the Wolf Creek School Board for many years, the Hospital Auxiliary Board, was a member of the National Society of Colonial Dames of America in Wyoming, the Book Review Club, and was Lady President of the Dude Ranchers Association.

Nancy created many friendships while at Eaton’s and will be missed by all.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Billy Eaton; and a daughter, Judy Ferguson. She is survived by her children, Susan Van Allen, Patty Kaufmann, William Ferguson, and Thomas J. Ferguson, Jr.; and her ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Eaton’s Ranch at a later date. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
