C. Robert Clark Sr., 80, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at the VA Medical Center in Sheridan.

Graveside Services are 11 a.m. Thursday in the Elks Cemetery in Sheridan with the Elks Lodge No. 520 officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Funeral Home.

Mr. Clark was born June 25, 1919, in Rozet to Charles Volney and Loretta Adaline Taylor Clark. He was raised at Rozet until age 10, when the family moved to Sheridan. He was a 1937 graduate of Sheridan High School.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and following his honorable discharge, worked as a locomotive engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement.

On, Oct. 22, 1942, he married Hazel Marion Cook in Hardin, Mont. She preceded him in death April 3, 1983.

He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 520, the Eagles Lodge and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Loretta Dunning and Mae Troutt.

Survivors include two sons, Charles R. Clark, Jr., of Norco, Calif., Maurice E. Clark of San Dimas, Calif., and daughter Virgina Rae Clark of Albuquerque, N.M., six grandchildren; and two sisters, Fae Atterbury of Vernal, Utah, and Vivian Lindley of Newcastle.
