Nellie ARZY Wolfe 1917 – 2018 SHS 1937

Nellie Arzy Wolfe passed away in Shreveport, Louisiana, on October 3, 2018, at the age of 101.

Nellie was born in Sheridan County, Wyoming on May 28,1917, to Joseph and Mary Selig Arzy. She grew up on a ranch that her parents homesteaded and attended area schools, graduating from Sheridan High School. Later Nellie married Albert Eugene Wolfe and they had three sons, Charles, David and Robert. The family lived in Sheridan for several years before moving to Montana.

Nellie was a licensed practical nurse and worked at Roundup Memorial Hospital until retirement.

She was creative and loved to garden, craft, crochet and quilt.

She moved to Waskom, Texas, in 1993 to be closer to family. Nellie was a member of First Baptist Church, Waskom, where she was active in the Lydia Sunday School Class and the Waskom Quilt Guild.

For the past four years Nellie resided at The Glen Retirement Community in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; sons, David and Robert; grandson, Greg; daughters-in-law, Marjean Wolfe and Sharon Wolfe; and siblings, John Arzy, Ray Arzy, Joe Arzy, Billy Arzy and Albena Wolfe.

She is survived by one son, Charles Wolfe of Billings, Montana; daughters-in-law Pat Wolfe of Wink, Texas and Jan Wolfe, of Waskom, Texas; and siblings, Florence Young, Frances Miech and George Arzy, all residing in the Sheridan, Wyoming area. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Roundup, MT City Cemetery on November 10, 2018, at 11:00 am.
