Jerald Ernest WILSON 1917 - 1996 SHS 1936

SHERIDAN - Services for Jerald Ernest Wilson, 78, will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at the LDS Church with Bishop Robert Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Brown died at his home Feb. 10, 1996, of natural causes.

He was born in Sheridan on Oct. 17, 1917, the son of Joseph Ernest and Lillie Edith Eldred Wilson.

He married Betty L. McNair on Jan. 25, 1947, in Hardin, Mont. The couple lived in Sheridan for the past eight years after moving from Great Falls, Mont.

Mr. Brown enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, his job as a salesman and people . He was active in the LDS Church, serving in many capacities, including as financial clerk for a large church-owned wheat farm near Great Falls, for 19 years. He also served as a bishop for the church in Great Falls and at the time of his death was a member of the LDS Church, Sheridan 2nd Ward.

Mr. Brown served in the South Pacific during World War II with the 42nd Bombardment Group, 390th Bombardment Squadron, as a Tech. Sgt from April, 1941, to October, 1945.

Survivors include his wife of Sheridan, two sons, Jerry of Monroe, N.C., and Gregory of Great Falls; one daughter, Sandee Kandas of Billings, Mont.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
