SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Rena V. Sweet and her husband spent their winters in California since 1973.

She was a member of Navy Mothers Club and VFW Auxiliary.

Mrs. Sweet, 68, died Monday in Sheridan.

She was born in Sheridan, a daughter of L.F. and Ila Walthall. She married James R. Sweet on Aug. 24, 1936.

Survivors include her husband and a son, Pete, both of Sheridan; four daughters, Rena Twiss of Florence, Colo, Sandra Cooley of Trego, Mont., Marylin Eskew of Sheridan and Billie Way of Tustin, Calif.; her mother; two brothers, Robert Walthall in North Carolina and Glen Walthall of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four sisters, Jane Holley of Long Beach, Calif., Ada Burris of Buffalo, Wyo., Lola Cates of Glenrock, Wyo., and Bonnie Cline of North Glen, Colo.; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
