SHERIDAN -- Graveside services for Esther Bumbaca, 90, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, in the Oddfellows section of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

She died May 16, 2007, at Sheridan Manor.

She was born at the Powers Ranch, located in the Squirrel Creek Valley near Decker, Mont., on May 17, 1916, to Frank and Nora (Foss) Powers. She attended school in Squirrel Creek and graduated from Sheridan High School.

She married Dominic Bumbaca in Hardin, Mont., on Dec. 31, 1939.

She had ranched with her family in Decker for many years until retiring in 1972, when she and her husband moved to Sheridan.

She enjoyed painting and was very generous with her paintings.

Survivors include her son, David Bumbaca of Sheridan; her grandson, Wayne Bumbaca of Sheridan and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and a sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials in her name to the Oddfellows Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 512, Sheridan, 82801.
