Ann “Millie” Wantulok, 92, of Wyarno died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, in Westview Health Care Center.

Funeral service are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Stolcis officiating. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Born July 17, 1917, in Acme to Adam and Regina (Blaha) Boyko, she grew up in this area and graduated from Sheridan High School.

She worked at the Bones Brothers Dude Ranch near Birney, Mont., when she was a teenager.

She married Paul M. Wantulok on Nov. 23, 1941, in Acme, where she raised their children, her animals and gardened.

They moved to Wyarno in 1956, where she helped with ranch work and raising her grandchildren.

Mrs. Wantulok enjoyed having a porch full of family and friends for a Sunday meal and the back yard full of friends and relatives in the summer.

An avid seamstress, she took a tailoring class to design quilts and other crafts.

She was active in the Wyarno community as a clerk in School District 35, an election judge in the Wyarno precinct, and a member of the Ulm Hilltoppers women's group.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; a daughter, Johanna; her sister; and her brother.

Survivors include two daughters, Gina Twohy of Sheridan and Nancy Herdt of Wyarno; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
