SHERIDAN -- Funeral services for Della M. Kaufman, 90, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating.

She died April 1, 2008, at her residence.

She was born in Huntsville, Ark. June 13, 1917, to Marshall and Martha Mitchell.

She married William Kaufman in Hardin, Mont. on Sept. 20, 1936.

They retired in Dayton in 1975.

She worked as a school cafeteria manager for twenty years. She enjoyed cooking and was a great hostess and a wonderful friend. She loved people and influenced many children through home vacation Bible schools and was always active in her church.

She is survived by her children, David Kaufman of Sheridan and Muriel Bowen and her husband of Denton, Texas, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brothers, Chuck Mitchell and Kenneth Mitchell and his wife all of Sheridan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William, and her sister, Janeva Chapline.

Kane Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made in her name to Hospice of the Big Horns, 1401 W. 5th, Sheridan 82801.
