SHERIDAN - Graveside services for Sheridan resident Ruth Scherry, 87, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 12.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Kane Funeral Home of Sheridan. Inurnment will follow in the Elks Section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

She died Nov. 10, 2004, at Sheridan Manor.

Born March 13, 1917, in Sheridan, she was the daughter of John and Anna (Kestner) Bordeaux.

On Feb. 16, 1936, she married Joe Scherry in Sheridan. They were the parents of two daughters.

She enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, sewing and crocheting; and playing cards, especially gin rummy.

Survivors include her daughter, Penny Onstott, and her husband of Story; two brothers, Walter Bordeaux of Long Beach, Calif., and Jim Bordeaux of Sheridan; two sisters, Margaret Pearson of Issaguah, Wash., and Barbara Day of Green Valley, Ariz.; two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sherrie Ann Ryan; five brothers, Bud, Alex, Jack, Edward and Frank Bordeaux; two sisters, Dorothy Furrow and Edna Hunnell; and a grandchild.
