OBITUARTIES - THE SHERIDAN PRESS - January 11, 2001

Winifred Jayne Baldwin, 84, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Visitation will be 8-9:45 a.m. Friday at Kane Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow visitation, with the Rev. Ray Clark officiating.  Interment will be in the Elks Cemetery.

Mrs. Baldwin was born Dec. 8, 1916, in Sheridan to James and Nickie Baldwin.  She graduated from Sheridan High School, then attended business school in Billings.

She returned to Sheridan after college and managed the Western motel for her father.  She was a bookkeeper for John Byrtus, CPA, and later worked at Sheridan Commercial Company.

She had many hobbies including playing golf and cards with her friends.  She was a member of the Elks Club and Sheridan Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Richard.

Survivors include a son, Luther Baldwin, Jr.; and seven grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in name to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
