Agnes Gwinn, 88, of Sheridan died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at her residence.

Cremation has taken place. Private family services are planned at a later date. Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gwinn was born March 2, 1916, in Kooi to George and Agnes (Czepczar) Urbatchka. She was a 1934 graduate of Sheridan High School.

She married Bill Humphreys in 1942. He died in 1946. She married Loyal Kirkland in 1948; he died in 1962. She married Gerry Gwinn in 1964. He died in 2002.

Mrs. Gwinn worked in the office at Sheridan High School for several years while her daughters were in school. She later was a professional seamstress, crafting custom home furnishings.

She enjoyed golf, gardening, art, sewing and her dogs.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, George, and two sisters, Anna Urbatchka and Mary Jurosek.

Survivors include two daughters, Maureen Humphreys of Sheridan and Barbara Humphreys of Washington, D.D.; and a sister, Elizabeth Ries of Scottsdale, Ariz.
