OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - January 5 2006

BUFFALO -- The funeral for Buffalo resident Beth Morgareidge Smith, 90, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, in Adams Funeral Home Chapel of Buffalo by the Rev. Su DeBree. Private family interment will follow.

She died Jan. 3, 2005, at Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo.

Born May 9, 1915, on Dutch Creek, east of Sheridan, she moved with her family to the Big Horn Mountains north of Buffalo and attended Hunter Ranger Station Elementary School. When she was in the eighth grade, the family moved to Sheridan, where she graduated from Sheridan High School in 1934. She then attended Hines Business College in Sheridan.

They moved to Ten Sleep and she worked in a medical clinic in Worland.

In 1938, she married Lloyd Malcom.

They made their home in Lovell, where she was employed by J.C. Penney for six years. She then worked for Pacific Power for 25 years, mainly in Lovell; but was a relief office employee in Greybull, Cody and Thermopolis. The couple remained in Lovell for 45 years.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1983, after 45 years of marriage. Two years later, she moved to Buffalo to be near her family.

In 1985, she married Leroy Smith.

They remained in Buffalo, where he also preceded her in death. For the last year, she had been a resident of The Beehive.

Survivors include two stepsons, Larry Smith and his wife of Kaycee and Harold Smith; stepdaughter, Sandra Schrunk, and her husband of Arizona; five step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
