OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - August 6, 2002

SHERIDAN - Services for Sheridan resident Alice Phillips, 86, will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at Champion-Ferries Funeral Home in Sheridan by the Rev. Kenneth Doolin.  Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

She died Aug. 3, 2002, at Westview Health Care Center.

She was born Jan. 10, 1916, in Monarch, the daughter of Joseph and Minnie Maude (Rhine) Littler.  The family moved to Sheridan, where she was raised and educated; graduating from Sheridan High School in 1934.

In 1939, she married David "Dave" Phillips in Hardin, Mont.

They made their home in Sheridan and she was a custodian for the Sheridan school system from 1962 to 1972.

A member of First Baptist Church of Sheridan, she enjoyed sewing and fishing; and loved the mountains.  Every Sunday, the couple would go for rides around the Sheridan area.

Survivors include her husband of Sheridan; two sons and their wives, Don and Dave, both of Sheridan; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a stepbrother and a stepsister.
