SHERIDAN -- Graveside services for Sheridan resident Bertha K. Buckley, 88, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, in the Masonic No. 43 Section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery by Pastor Tim Charles.

Born April 6, 1916, in Saskatchewan, Canada, she was the daughter of Peter and Barbara (Billik) Kohlruss; and, as a child, moved with her family to a homestead near Gillette. The family then moved to Acme for a short time before settling in Sheridan.

She attended Holy Name School and graduated from Sheridan High School; then went to work for Quick Printing Co., where she remained until retiring because of declining health.

On May 15, 1943, she married Jerry Buckley at the Methodist Church in Sheridan.

Her primary interest in life was loving all animals; especially her lifelong companion, her cat, "Bonnie."

Survivors include her stepson, Jim Buckley of Sheridan; sister, Lenora Kohlruss of Lander; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, a sister, and a stepson.

Memorials may be made to Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter or a charity of the donor's choice, in care of Karen Green, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan, WY 82801.
