SHERIDAN -- Graveside services for Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Hawkey Stevens Lloyd, 90, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2006, at Sheridan Elks Cemetery.

Viewing will be at Kane Funeral Home Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m.

She died June 9, 2006, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

She was born Oct. 22, 1915, in Buffalo, to Earl and Lexie (Fowler) Hawkey. She attended country schools where her mother was the teacher. She graduated from high school in 1934 and went to nurse's training in 1936, but didn't finish because she married David Stevens in November 1937. He died in April 1949.

She worked as a nurse's aide at the Reynolds Nursing Home and Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County, as well as for Dr. Carr.

She worked as an aide until her marriage to Charles "Bill" Lloyd on Oct. 14, 1950, in Sheridan. They followed road construction for several years to Casper and Cheyenne before moving back to Sheridan in 1955.

She was involved in PTA and Cub Scouts. She worked in the lunchroom at Central Middle School for three years, then as a circulation clerk in the library at Sheridan College in 1969 until her retirement in the spring of 1978.

She enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

Casper Star-Tribune - June 14, 2006 Survivors include two sons, Charles "Chuck" Lloyd and Lowell Lloyd and his wife and two daughters and their husbands, Janet Greene and Marilyn Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, two brothers, George Hawkey and Frank Hawkey and three sisters, Ruth Herbert, Virginia Mueller and Louise Rabling.
