SHERIDAN - Funeral Services for Sheridan resident George L. Best, 87, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Champion Ferries Funeral Home by the Rev. Wilbur Holz.  Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

He died March 22, 2002, at Westview Health Care Center.

He was born Oct. 26, 1914 in Sheridan, the son of Lambert and Susan (Leland) Best; and was raised and educated in Sheridan.

A lifelong resident of Sheridan, he worked as a carpenter.

Survivors include his son, Gordon Best, and daughter, LaFawn Best, both of Spokane, Wash.; sister, Mabel Bohn of Sheridan; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
