OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - September 6, 2001

SHERIDAN-Memorial services for Clara Edith Tidwell, 86, will be held at a later date.  Cremation has taken place.

She died Sept. 1, 2001, at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan.

A Sheridan native, she was born Sept. 9, 1914, to Nicholas and Susan (MacNair) Voogd.  She graduated from Sheridan High School and later married Ted "Grady" Tidwell in 1936 in Mississippi.

She sold fireworks for many years and also worked at Western Café, Schreibeis Bakery, Clover Leaf Bakery, Carroll's Furniture, and many other jobs in her lifetime.

She enjoyed playing bingo and was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sisters, Lillian Lorenz of Spencer, Iowa, and Gertrude Voogd of Van Nuys,Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Grasdy; her brothers, Nicholas, William, Rutherford, Earl, Donald and Homer Voogd; and her two sisters, Ruth and Florence.
