Mrs. DePue was born September 1, 1910 in Alliance, NB to David and Lida (Cox) Lewis. She moved with her family at the age of 5 to Sheridan. Mrs. DePue grew up and attended Sheridan schools, graduating from Sheridan High School in 1930.

Mrs. DePue then attended nursing school in the old Sheridan Memorial Hospital graduating from Nurse’s Training in 1933. She then started nursing at the hospital. She married Roger DePue January 16, 1937 in Buffalo, WY.

Mrs. DePue was a member of First Christian Church in Sheridan and a member of the Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed writing poetry, working crossword puzzles, and recipe collecting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Roger.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Muller, and Virginia Fiedor, both of Sheridan, WY; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Memorial service for Mrs. DePue will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 4, 2006 in the Sheridan Manor Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Goodwin officiating. Private family inurnment of creamains will be in the Elk’s Section of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
