Dayton native Grace Jones, 89, of Buffalo, died Monday, July 30, 2001, at the Johnson County Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Dave Hall and the Rev. Keith McDonald officiating.

Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery following graveside services.

Mrs. Jones was born March 7, 1912, in Dayton to Jacob and Amanda Achenbach.  She attended elementary school in Dayton and was a 1930 graduate of Sheridan High School.

She worked at Eatons' Dude Ranch while attending high school and for two years after graduation.

She married Ezra Jones Sept. 17, 1932, in Dayton.  They moved to Montana and lived there until 1934, when they moved to Detroit, where she worked in an airline factory during World War II.

They moved to Buffalo in 1945.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and its women's organization, a Cub Scout den mother for several years and a delegate for the Silver Haired Legislature.

She was a member of the Amie Holt Auxiliary for the last several years and worked in the Happy Apple Gift Shop.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968 and by four sisters and a granddaughter.

Survivors include three sons, Pete and Craig, both of Buffalo, and Asa of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; three daughters, Glory Little of Leiter, Mary Swartz of Show Low, Ariz., and Kyle Wollschlager of Columbus, Mont.; two sisters, Isabelle Olson of Sheridan and Margie Rogers of Port Arthur, Texas; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Johnson County Health Center Care Center in care of Adams Funeral Home.
