Hazel D. Runge, 103, formerly of Dayton, WY, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 in Life Care Nursing Center in Pueblo, CO.

Mrs. Runge was born August 30, 1907 in Cambria, Kansas to Samuel and May (Sullivan) Young. The family moved to the Sheridan area when she was a young girl.

Mrs. Runge graduated from Sheridan High School in 1928 and went on to receive her nursing degree. She worked as a nurse in Denver, then an industrial nurse for the Hawaiian Pineapple Co. in Hawaii and later in 1957 as a nurse in Lenkurt, California until she retired.

She was married to Charles E. H. Runge for 61 years.

Mrs. Runge was preceded in death by her husband; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters.

She is survived by nieces Bonnie Jolovich of Casper, WY and Betty Reichert of Dayton, WY and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 3:00pm Monday (Apr. 25th) in the Dayton Town Cemetery with Father Rob Spaulding officiating.

Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
