 OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - May 16, 2003

SHERIDAN - Funeral services for Sheridan resident Naomi Rose (Harris) Bissell, 94, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Champion-Ferries Funeral Home in Sheridan by the Rev. David Duprey.  Burial will be in the Eagles Section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

She died May 14, 2003, at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan.

Born April 18, 1909, in Lincoln, Neb., she was the daughter of Walter Ross and Emma (Kulper) Harris.  The family moved to Sheridan when she was 5 years old and she attended Sheridan Elementary and Sheridan High schools, graduating in 1928.

That year, she married Hershel Aldridge.

She then was employed by Vaughn Ragsdale for 13 years.  In 1946, she moved to Riverton and worked for J.M. McDonalds Co. for 20 years.

In 1952, she married William Bissell.  They were divorced in 1966.

She returned to Sheridan in 1972.

A member of B.P.O. Does No. 127, she was a member of Eagles Auxiliary No. 186 since 1938 and had served as president. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, knitting, and bingo.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Jerry Higgs of Sheridan; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Winifred Woodhead of Sheridan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
